Earth Day Clean Up at Choate Park

Earth Day Clean Up at Choate Park will be held Saturday, April 17, 9:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M.  Rain or Shine!

We need volunteers (children and adults) to work around the park picking up trash, cleaning up the beds, spreading mulch, and planting.  We also need volunteers to participate in a Charles River Clean Up. We will be cleaning up trash from the edges of the pond as well as the upper and lower Chicken Brook.  This work will require physical coordination and “wellies”.  Instructions, trash bags, and T shirts will be supplied by the Charles River Watershed Association.  There is a patch involved for Girl Scouts.  For general park clean up please where work clothes, bring gloves, rakes, wheelbarrows, any other tools you’d like to use or share (please label with your name).  There will also be a few art activities and planting activities for children to participate in.  We hope you can join us this Earth Day to help us continue to beautify and preserve this historic park in Medway!
